Biography
Mufti Houzeifa Mamoojee is a Mauritian-born Islamic scholar and the founder of Mufti.mu, an online platform dedicated to answering fatwa queries and providing authentic Islamic guidance in English, French, and Creole.
He pursued formal Islamic studies at the prestigious Madrasah Arabia Islamia (Darul Uloom Azaadville) in South Africa, completing the six-year Aalimiyyah Course covering Tafsir, Hadith, Fiqh, Usul, Aqidah, Arabic literature, and more.
Following this, he underwent a specialized two-year Iftaa program focused on Islamic jurisprudence and issuing Fatwas.
From 2016 to 2022, he served as Imam at Ad Dawa Al Islamiah Masjid, Beau Bassin. He later served at Rose Hill Soonnee Mosque (2023–2024). His community work includes teaching, khutbahs, spiritual programs, workshops, and ongoing fatwa writing.
